Thursday Night Plays

Game Week has arrived. The College Football season gets started Thursday night with 6 games including a match up between #12 Oregon and #14 Boise State on the Smurf Turf.

I have my plays for Thursday night below. Best of Luck to everybody this week and throughout the entire season. Let's make that money!

Boise State -4.5

Freshman, Kennedy and Leans

Well, it was announced today that USC will start Freshman QB Matt Barkley next week against San Jose State. This move kind of surprises me as I though QB Aaron Corp would get the nod based on playing in 6 games last season and having a better overall knowledge of the offense.

I have compiled information regarding teams that went over the total and under the total last season. Here is a list of the Top 10 Over/Under teams from 2008 along with the offensive and defensive production and total points per game.

USC Lineman Suffers Broken Foot

LOS ANGELES -- USC defensive lineman Armond Armstead is likely to be sidelined for six weeks after breaking his left foot in a morning practice, adding to an uncomfortably long list of early injury setbacks for the Trojans.

Illinois CB Likely Out For Season

Illinois cornerback Miami Thomas will miss the season with a torn left anterior cruciate, a school source confirmed Thursday.

Illinois coach Ron Zook said Wednesday that he believed Thomas would miss the season with what was initially diagnosed as a probable ACL tear.

Thomas, a projected starter, missed last season when he tore the ACL in his right knee.

Teams Flying East

Over the past two seasons there seems to have been a trend emerging regarding west coast teams traveling east and covering. Since 2007 there have been 8 games that matched a team from the Pacific Time Zone against a team in the Eastern Time Zone. I have included the results below. East Coast teams are 5-3 ATS since ’07.

Underrated Home Field Advantages
This is a list of a few teams that have done very well over the past few years and traditionally at home. Of course, we all know that Florida, Texas, LSU and Penn State have huge home-field advantages, but you may not know much about these teams below.
